The French government wishes to alert Australia to the existence of the Blaise Pascal Intenational Research Chairs and to seek Australia’s assistance in informing the research community of their existence. They provide assistance, on a highly competitive basis, for senior scientists from any discipline from other countries for periods of 12 months, possibly spread over longer periods of time, in Paris/Île-de-France research institutions to undertake a particular scientific project. Each placement project is worth up to €200,000, and up to five of these grants are made each year based on the merit of the project. Applications are invited by 28 Jan 2008 for the 12 months commencing Sept 2008.
